BSI hits top spot in influential Superbrands category

BSI revealed as one of the strongest business-business brands for 2012

BSI has been officially identified as one of the top 50 Business Superbrands for 2012.

For the tenth year in a row the expert body in the world of standards has been recognised by a panel of industry experts and business professionals as one of UK’s strongest B2B brands.
The organisation took the lead within the category of ‘Support Services – Associations and Accreditations’ and gained an overall position of 42 within the official top 500.

The Superbrands title was awarded to BSI based on three key factors: quality, reliability and distinction dovetailing seamlessly with the company’s mission of helping organisations achieve excellence in everything they do.

Co-ordinated by The Centre for Brand Analysis, the prestigious Business Superbrands list is drawn from over 10,000 independently identified brands, before being whittled down to a shortlist of just under 1,500, that are then judged by the expert panel and UK business professionals.

Chris Wright, Head of Global Brand and PR at BSI said: “BSI is committed to helping businesses achieve excellence. It is therefore a great honour to be awarded the Superbrands accolade as a result of a rigorous and independent selection process. Achieving such a high rating is a reflection of BSI’s core values of expertise, independence and integrity.”

Stephen Cheliotis, Chairman of the Superbrands Expert Council said: “A truly super business brand exudes success, quality and innovation. It is a huge achievement that BSI has made the official top 500 list for 2012, as the Business Superbrands poll is the definitive list of the strongest business brands today.”
